Colin is Growcentia’s Director of Greenhouse Research & Development. He studied hydroponic cultivation and greenhouse management at the University of Arizona, and has over 18 years of hydroponic experience. Colin designed and created one of the first hobby-scale ebb and flow hydroponic units for the retail market, as well as an all natural preventative pest spray. He also owns and operates the world’s first commercial hydroponic hop greenhouse, and conducts hydroponic consultation and research for Colorado State University. Outside of work, Colin enjoys music and spending time with his wife, daughter, and friends, who would describe him as determined and easy going. A man of many hobbies, Colin is also an avid homebrewer with over 300 brews and 5 sanctioned medals. His favorite part about working for Growcentia? Getting to work with a team of such highly educated individuals who fuel growth and ideas, and the fact that he works on a wide variety of tasks which keeps things interesting and exciting.
