Alyssa Cochran is a Senior Research Associate at Growcentia. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of North Carolina – Wilmington, and her master’s degree in botany from Colorado State University. Her undergraduate research focused on fern phylogenetics, and her master’s research focused on rhizosphere soil bacterial communities associated with selenium hyperaccumulator plants. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys reading, biking, doing yoga, baking, and spending time with her pup. Her friends would describe her as nerdy and opinionated. Alyssa’s favorite things about working with Growcentia are the people, the culture and the science!
